Business Success Tip

Are you optimizing how you use
your business card to communicate with your
clientele?
Today's business professional has a variety of tools
available to enhance client communications.
From the traditional business card to the Internet,
effective communications has become an extremely
important aspect of successful business
administration. Optimizing how you use these
communications channels to promote your business and
keep in contact with your existing and future
clients can be invaluable.
We generally think of the business card as a
fundamental marketing tool, however many fail to
optimize the effectiveness of this tool. The
back of the business card is largely a forgotten
marketing tool that can easily and inexpensively be
used as advertising space that you already own!
Adding a product list; product descriptions;
offering a customer discount or announcing a special
deal are great ways to optimize your use of the back
of the business card.
In many instances your existing business card
printer will allow you to print text on the back of
your business card for a small additional fee or in
some instances, no additional cost!

new government
sponsored
initiative…
The Emergency Email &
Wireless Network®
is a free public service
that is the result of a
private and public
partnership. Each day more
local government agencies
are joining the network
which is being promoted as a
national asset. The network
provides information, free
to the public, about
emergency related
news specific to your
community, including severe
weather news, airport
closings and delays, water
craft advisories, etc. You
can sign up to receive email
notifications of emergency
news for your local area or
any area that is
participating. For example,
last week we had a tornado
warning here in the
Baltimore/Washington region
and I received the
notification as soon as the
National Weather service
notice was released. You can
sign up for the
notifications at
http://www.emergencyemail.org/
and have the notices
delivered to your email,
pager or cell phone.
